Lake Wales Ridge: Groundwater-Quality Data Summary, 1999-2003

The 1999-2003 sampling program focused on nutrients and 29 pesticides and degradates, as well as selected major and trace dissolved inorganic constituents (see Analytes and Methods). Well construction information (well depths, screen intervals) including approximate depths to the water table at the monitoring wells is included in table 1. The "Overview of Agrichemicals" (below) summarizes quarterly samples collected from April 1999 through April 2003. The "Reconnaissance Sampling for Additional Simazine Degradates" (below) included samples collected from five wells during July 2003.

These summaries include approved laboratory results and have been reviewed, but should be considered provisional, subject to revision. Data users are cautioned to consider carefully the use of provisional data for decisions that concern personal or public safety or the conduct of business that involves substantial monetary or operational consequences. Information concerning the accuracy and appropriate uses of these data may be obtained through the Project Coordinator listed on the Project Personnel page.
